"OK but the Freestyle audio units are better" 2009-10-19
By Gregory Fadul (San diego,ca)
These are OK but the earbuds fall out when swimming. The freestyle audio earbuds have 2 different styles of earbuds (and 3 sizes). The optional style of the freestyle rubber earbuds stay in when I am swimming and jogging.

 "Wouldn't swim without them" 2009-10-03
By Colorado Swimmer (Colorado Springs)
I bought these headphones about 3 weeks ago. I can't imagine swimming without music now. I get people all the time asking "Is that music you're listening to? That's really cool!" And it is. My swim workouts are much better now, and I am no longer anxious to finish my swim. The sound quality is good but not excellent. That being said, I am still amazed that I am listening to my favorite songs while in the pool!

I read many, many reviews on these headphones before buying them. Many people said they fall out. I have worn them almost everyday for 3 weeks and have never had them fall out. However, there are a couple things to know before buying these headphones:

1) The trick with these headphones is to have a really tight seal BEFORE getting in the pool. I really push them in my ear and twist them a few times just to make sure they are in tight. A couple times I started adjusting them during my swim because I thought they were coming loose-- big mistake! Water seeped in, and there was only faint sound, and sometimes no sound, for the rest of my swim. So don't mess with them once you're in the pool, even if you think they may be coming out.

2) Once water gets in, you will not have much sound. Once they are dry and the water is out of your ears, the sound returns. But when water gets in, I find it extremely distracting to hear a faint sound in the ear with the water, and a loud sound in the other ear.

3) Get the H20 swimbelt and waterproof case, too. You can find pretty good deals on these online. I forget the belt is even on, and the case has never leaked. It is designed to work with these headphones.

I would definitely recommend these headphones over the other ones I researched. They seemed to have the best reviews. You will really enjoy your swim workouts a lot more!

"Hard to find better headphones" 2009-09-22
By Hound Dog (California)
These are good sounding headphones, and they are comfortable and watertight. They are are a little better than the similar Aquapac headphones. Still I think they are overpriced though. They sound great but the only problem is it is hard to keep them in your ears unless you cover your ears with a swim cap.

 "Pretty good" 2009-08-28
By Alexis K. Dotson (Oregon City OR)
I have an underwater case also, so the headphones were definitely needed but sometimes the water gets in my ears and I cant really hear it, so the sound quality is probably a 3 on a 1~5 scale. Sometimes its excellent though, just depends on how I adjust my swim cap to hold them in, over all. I'm just stoked I can play my music under water :-) Thanks! ~Lexus k

"5 start / great for waterproof headphones!" 2009-08-24
By Tiago D. Da Silva (Toronto, Canada)
These headphones work very well for a waterproof headphones. Of course they are no BOSE in ear headphones, but they are not supposed (and not priced) to be them. They work great in the water, with a full sound and no tin can sound. I wore them during a couple surfing sessions in the water and they seal the ears well. You just have to find the right fit. Also, what I noticed that a lot of people are complaining is about they popping out of the ears.

If you have ever had training/instructions on how to insert earplugs, you won't have any problems with these popping out. Just refer to [...] where they teach you on how to insert them. Lift the top of the year with one hand (to open canal), insert the headphone, let go of the ear, and wait a few seconds for it to adjust itself. I did this, went surfing, had a great session, and they popped out only once because I got a pretty bad wipeout. But I wouldn't expect it to stay in in that situation anyway. Had a little problem of water entering the ear for a few seconds, but all I had to do was to remove the headphone, suck the water out, clean the ear, and voila there it was again, working like a beauty! Definitely recommend it, no better waterproof headphones out in the market!
