I love this bag. While compact, it offers lots of storage through a lot of different size pockets and nets. The sturdy frame and seat are strong enough to carry my weight. The wheels make it super easy to go up and down stairs so no matter how heavy your charge is, you never have to pick up the bag! The bonus ipod speakers were a great addition. While the sound quality isn't great at a high volume, it is a neat gadget that has already provided hours of fun for myself and my 5 year-old daughter!

Belt is well made has excellent features. A huge improvement would be a bit of stretch or elastic in the belt. Waist size will vary from day to day, sometimes, due to clothing bulk. fyi: I use mine in the gym, when walking and when completing chores such as car washing and gardening.

It takes 20-30 seconds just to zip or unzip the thing. As I pull on the zipper, it bunches up in front, so I have to pull it taut from behind or the zipper can't move. Disappointing. I guess that's the hazard of buying online/unseen.

This lightweight and comfortable armband was designed for the iPhone 3G and 3GS but also works really well for Blackberrys, Palm Pre and many other smartphones some of which are listed below. The low profile, neoprene armband is stable and secure so it will not bounce around. Your arm actually pushes the device into the case which is way more comfortable then the case pushing the device into your arm.

To provide as much protection as possible during your workout rigors, the top entrance is covered while openings in the bottom provide vital access points. Other features for your convenience include: a versatile design that offers the flexibility of holding the device right side up, or upside down to read the screen easier when viewed on the arm; a clear, protective window cover with full navigational control; and a flap to securely store and manage the earphone cord.

The armband is washable, includes a reflective logo and adjusts from 9" to 17". For larger arm sizes, an Armband Extender is available. See model EX3 which increases the maximum arm size by about 6.5 inches.

I spend time both online and in stores trying to find an armband for an iPhone 3GS so I could take it running and make use of the maps and stopwatch when in an unfamiliar city. After reading many reviews, most wouldn't stay in place while running or allowed too much sweat to seep through to the device inside. At first I was concerned that this product was for iPhones "and others" or something of the sort, but the fit is snug and it stayed firmly on my upper arm without sliding for two of my weekly 10k runs. The only downside is that the front plastic doesn't fit completely snugly on the face of the iPhone so if you want to tap the side of the screen you have to get a small slack part of the clear screen out of the way (or take the phone out completely). However, manipulating the 3GS touchscreen through the cover otherwise works well.

Given the quality of all other products I found, I would highly suggest you put this near the top of your list.

I bought this belt for my BlackBerry Bold 9000 and it fits excellent! The belt is very light, ideal for running or biking.

I only found a little problem with the earphones input, because my BB has the input on side and the belt doesn't have inputs on sides, so I had to open a little hole for that. Despite this problem I'm very happy with this product.

I had bought a similar armband from a different company and it didn't even last a week before the stitching came apart and the armband ripped in half. I use it with a Blackberry Storm at the gym all the time and I have had this for almost 2 months now with not a single problem. It is very easy to use and I recommend it for anyone with an iPhone or similar device/phone.

I had been looking for a work out band for my blackberry curve or awhile and this one work great. I did make some slight mod on it though for it to work best for me. I cut a hole in the plastic wear my track ball is so i can accually use my phone and listen to pandora when i work out. the hole will not make your phone fall out or anything it just makes you able to use your phone and change station. make sure and cut the hole about twice as big as the track ball and that it goes from side to side so you do not get any sharp corners and that the plastic does not inpead on your fingers while running and trying to use your track ball. once you cut the hole go work out in it and then make adjustment from there. start your hole small because you can always make it bigger.

I got this for exercising, but discovered that it's hard to use. You can't access the on/off button with the player inside, and it's SUPER tight, so hard to get in and out. Doh! Other than that, seems okay.

As the other reviews say, this product has some issues. I think it works fine as long as you make a hole for the power switch and another one for the USB/power cord. In this way you won't have to get the sansa in an out which is a real pain. I was using a different armband before with a more friendly design but the velcro ended up separating after a few months. I was looking for a stronger desing and I think I found it in this armband. For the price, I think this is good buy, just be ready to make some holes....

For the price, it's good. A little hard getting the player in and out. I wish there was an opening for turning the MP3 player on and off as well as an opening for the usb cord. I had to cut out an opening on the side to be able to turn the unit on and off. Without it, the unit would turn on and lock when being inserted into the case.

I agree with every other seller here, the band is very comfortable but the case is very hard to deal with. I have to take it out to turn it on and off. Getting it in is easier than taking it out, it probably takes 3 or 4 minutes to wiggle it out of the case, and I'm afraid I'm going to break the player. I bought a silicone case elsewhere that was cheaper and works 10 times better, but has a crappy armband. If only someone could merge the two.

The band is comfortable and there is no way the the unit to come out, even during heavy activity. Unfortunately this means it is difficult to get the MP3 player into it. It makes it difficult to make adjustments via the wheel and to get the headphones in. There isn't a place to turn the MP3 player off or on. Usually the MP3 player turns off when trying to put it in the armband, and you can't turn it back on without taking it back out. All considered, I don't use it because of its difficulties.

To achieve perfect alignment of the eyes and the lens openings, hold the binoculars in the normal viewing position and move the two barrels either apart or closer to each other until you have a single, clear field of view. Focusing 1. Set the right eyepiece (A) to zero and sight on a distant subject. 2. The thing that caught my eye with this product was the place on the back to wrap your headphones. That was the only thing that I liked about it. I have the newest Ipod Classic 80GB and it does not fit perfectly, the case is about a quarter of an inch to big so the ipod moves around in there. Another thing I dont like is that the screen is not protected but the click wheel is. That makes no sense because I want my screen protected and with the click wheel covered it is extremely difficult to move around. I just ended up returning it.

This product is very simply made, even more so then some for 1/3 the price. And this product is not for people with large arms, It may stretch 20 inches, but good luck getting any blood to go through your arm. My buddy has 16inch arms and he couldn't put it on comfortably either. I didn't expect the best armband ever in a size that would fit me, but this was neither quality, or fitting.

Maybe because I'm on the smaller side and I have small ears, but the earbuds will NOT stay in my ears. It kind of hurts trying to shove them into my ear canals, and they pop back out at the slightest movement. I also have iPod earbuds and Blackberry earbuds. Absolutely no problem with either of those. I like the behind the neck design for cord management when exercising, but if I have to stop to put them back in my ears every two minutes, it's pointless. I'll stick with my standard earbuds.

Great design that never comes out while running on an elliptical, or while rowing. Very flexible. Not so great for other workout out stuff like laying down on a bench. Note that these are the same as the Nike Flight in black, which have more (and better) reviews for some reason. The sound quality is also very good for workout headphones compared to the other half dozen or so I've tried. I've had my pair for almost three years before I broke them (my fault, not the design).

I was very excited to find these lightweight NIKE sport headphones. The design with the cord behind the neck is good- however, the material is VERY lightweight and I use them while running and they often fall out of my ears. They are also quite flexible, and the other day my wife broke them in half while removing them from the glove box. The sound quality is great, but the design stinks.

I love my CyFi!

I have it mounted on my bike and I've placed the second mounting device on my kids stroller so we can take music along with us on walks/jogs. Wearing earplugs is illegal in many states while cycling. This way I can get in my workout and be coached along with great music in a safe way.

This Watch is simple to set, inexpensive, looks good & the battery will last at least 5 years if not more. I had a previous one & after 4 years the band is on its last legs. My only complaint is I'd like to see a stronger made Watch band that will last as long as the battery. I hope they keep making this watch because I will keep buying it.

I got this watch mostly because it shows the date. Now I never have to look for a calendar or ask someone the date. It is sturdy. I've already dropped it innumerable times and had no problems. The face is relatively small. I like that because I don't have a big wrist. But the number size is perfect and everything is easy to read. Easy to program too, time, stop watch, and alarm settings. I once had a watch where there was a button to push to make the face light up; the light is one thing missing from this watch. But I like it a lot.

I use this watch while kayaking, so it gets wet constantly. Never a leak or an internal failure, in spite of its lack of being "water proof".

Its small size is much more comfortable on my wrist than typical sports watches, and the lack of a fancy lap time function isn't a factor for me - although I'm constantly using the stopwatch.

The only drawback is a band that isn't the strongest, but at this price, I buy three watches at a time to make sure I've always got "enough". Don't take that to mean the band breaks constantly. I'm pretty brutal and the band typically lasts a couple of years.

"Great features but don't sweat" 2009-12-27

I've had the same problems with this watch as many other users. It's awesome until you start to sweat. I typically don't need to touch the bezel during a run but for some reason the screen will occationally change to the menu. It usually happens well into my run once my arms get sweaty. It might also change to the satellite screen if I run in a dense forest. Then I'm stuck because my hands are sweaty and my clothes are damp with sweat so the bezel becomes useless. Since I can't switch modes using the bezel, I can't turn off the timer or use the lap function. A few times after I've finished a run and the area under the watch was soaked with sweat, the watch acted as though it was possessed. It started beeping repeatedly, the light turned on and off, and it started scrolling through modes randomly. It all stopped when I took off the watch and dried it. I've also had several instances where the battery charge seemed to make a difference. Once the battery gets under 25% I've found that the start/stop and lap buttons aren't very responsive. I've had several times where I had to just forget using the lap timer. When I can afford it I'll get the 305. It would be nice if Garmin stepped up to the plate and offered a trade-in price for those of us who are disappointed in this product since it's obvious that it doesn't perform well when a person sweats during a workout.

I'm writting this after only 2 uses because this a.m. I went on a 7 mile run and when I got home the 405 did'nt even start! I'm hoping I hit the wrong button. Other than this glitch I think its pretty cool. the software that you download from garmin(training )is awesome! I think its a good product... just hope my problem this morning wont repeat itself. was using the nike plus and got tired of getting short changed on my mileage... was different everyday. the 405 is VERY accurate. follow the manual and you should be o.k. software wise.

"First time Garmin watch owner and it works great" 2009-10-05

Being this was my first time I would own a Garmin sport watch, I wasn't sure to either get the 305 or 405 based on some negative reviews of the 405. But I figured there were just enough good reviews, and it being a newer version I decided to take a shot and go with the 404 and I can tell you..so far...it works great! I'm using it to train for a marathon and I've been running with it for the past two weeks. I'm just blown away by all the information it is able to record and then transferring it wirelessly to my laptop and logging into my Garmin Connect account to get the detailed maps of the routes I took and information breakdown of all my runs is awesome. I haven't had trouble locating satelites (takes less than a minute) and I can't say I've had trouble with the bezel acting crazy during my runs. Maybe I don't sweat so much that it gets wet maybe. Not sure. But I've even changed settings during the runs with no issues. But just as the manual tells you, you can lock the bezel after you have your desired settings and display. After that you can touch the bezel all you want and it won't move or change screens. Really not a big deal from my experience. The watch fits fine around my wrists with no irritation or anything. Feels like a normal watch. I think the only thing that I found doesn't record correctly is the elevation. I guess it should work as intended but I don't rely on the elevation data to much. Don't know what else to say about the watch. It's been working great for me. I thought the instructions were pretty clear (such as syncing the watch and laptop) and easy. I'd recommend getting the watch.

"Decent GPS and definite improvement but plenty of issues" 2009-09-29

I bought this recently after owning the 201 previously. The design on the 405 CX is much better than the rectangular old design but that seems mainly attributable to the decreasing size of technology. I also owned a polar with a footpod recently for comparison and viewed this an upgrade. Overall, my experience has been only OK and echoes a number of comments on here that i didn't see or hear from the running store when i purchased the 405. Had it been a $200 purchase i'd view it as an expensive and heavy watch that sometimes has a useful GPS function but it was ~$400.

Positives:

A little large but not as large as previous devices

Software was relatively straightforward to get installed (but doesn't work reliably - see below)

Finds location faster than prior version but not nearly as fast as others indicate here (i live in NYC so tall buildings can present a problem but it does ok in trails of NJ or other tree covered areas) - i have never had it lock in the '5 seconds' others mention. The best case is 20 seconds and up to a minute or two, which is obviously frustrating since you can't start the timer until it locks

Negatives:

Biggest complaint is that the software worked exactly three times uploading data and has not worked again (despite using multiple computers, turning off surrounding wireless devices, etc)

I emailed customer support, got two responses then no responses after that when i clearly outlined the problem had not been solved

the heartrate monitor is subpar and feels like polar technology from five years ago. the hard plastic definitely will rub you raw if you're not careful.

the bezel is twitchy and i have had problems on longer runs when there is plenty of sweat or rain and i can't get the bezel to recognize the touch.

the menus are hardly intuitive and not designed from a runner's perspective. i wonder who tests this stuff and if they can run around the garmin headquarters but i digress.

the altitude was laughably wrong but since i've only been able to see the elevation changes a couple of times (see software problem above) i can't tell if that was run-specific or a general problem.

As you can tell i'm generally disappointed because i thought i was getting an upgrade but i've gotten a whole new set of issues. unfortunately, i'd still recommend this over the footpod option (notwithstanding the superior heartrate monitor) but if you can hold out you may want to consider waiting for the next version.

I've tried some other armbands with my K3 MP3 player and they all had various weaknesses (armband wouldn't adjust right, difficult to slip player in and out of sleeve, etc.).

This armband just plain works. Only drawback so far is I have to slide the sleeve occasionally to hook the charger/transfer cable up to the unit.

I have had this radio for a few years & it's been great! I've dropped it I don't know how many times & it still keeps working. My problem is that now that they have changed the TV systems (digital) my stations won't come in. Any suggestions on how to get the TV stations to work? Or maybe even another radio headset with TV?

I had this walkman for along time, the only problem I had at times is that the stations that I wanted to listen to had bad reception (but it also depended where I was at). If I wanted to listen to the walkman at the gym, I had to make sure I was closer to the window (or I had no reception). If I ran outside, it was okay most of the time. But recently the sound been going on and off, maybe it's time to change the radio. I did use it for along time. But I will get a different one, I want to get reception at the gym.

I have owned this radio for years. I loved it. I listened to tv during my ten mile walks. However, I realized today that the tv part no longer works due to the switch from analog to digital signal. I need to find a new one soon. Boo hoo! So don't buy this for the tv.

I'm honestly very surprised at the reports of bad reception and shoddy construction. We *ARE* talking about the Sony S2 Sports Walkman Arm Band Radio with FM/AM, TV and Weather Channels (model: SRF-M80V), not the Sony S2 Sports Walkman Armband Radio (model: SRF-M85V), right?

(The latter has equally numerous complaints about its bad radio reception and shoddy construction.)

For what it's worth, here's my take on it:

- Solid Construction

This sony radio is built tough. I've had mine for over 5 years and it's been through a lot of abuse. It's even survived a fall down a hill on one of my hikes - other than a heavily marred face and LED screen, it was none the worse for wear.

- Good Reception

Although the Weather Band has really bad reception, the FM/AM radio reception is pretty good. It's definitely no worse than all the other radios I've used.

- Clear Sound with Impressive Bass Boost

The level and quality of the bass boost on this radio is VERY impressive. I was blown away when I first turn on the bass boost. It give the music so much more dimension and oomph! And the Sony amplifies the bass without muddying up the sound. I have a Coby that also does bass amplification, but it doesn't hold a candle to the Sony!

- Weak Headphones

It's a shame Sony hadn't included better-sounding headphones. The sound from these are weak and tinny and does not do this radio justice! You should at least get a pair of descent headphones or ear buds, like these Sony Fontopia Ear-Bud Headphones.

There's my 2 cents. In an age dominated by smaller, lighter, and more powerful personal audio devices, the Sony Amer Band Radio is indeed a dying breed. But I know I'll always have a trusty fallback in case my other devices fail me!

"I felt obligated YES IT'S GOOD...." 2009-05-16

If anything I'm a gym aficionado when it comes to radio's.... The iPods these day's are superior especially when new abilities are coming out (no question about it). This radio is a dieing breed - I'm just writing this review in "memorandum" for all the years of loyal and dedicated service which it deserves. I had before this brand of Sony model the Sony SRF88 which was a dial type of sport radio (not made anymore) also a well missed trusty companion - which may have been even better than this model (remains to be seen).

But after the SRF88 dial type radio, this model came out with buttons for presets. All in all a worthy product, I've dropped it countless times on the pavement and the gym floor and it still keeps on working. It's a little bothersome because of the TV selections, AM radio and weather presets that come with it. I ask, who in the world needs that stuff - maybe a handful of people out there but for the majority I would certainly think not. That's why the SRF88 might have been a better model (depends) also using a dial can be all (not that bad) you can buzz around the stations a lot faster and you develop a very sophisticated ear toward music (one which I will never forget) REALLY. You strangely develop this acute sensitivity to just a few notes of a song and know exactly if you wanna listen to it or not. You really have to experience this to know what I'm talking about - somehow I'll miss this...

BUT IN CLOSING FOR ANY OF THE COMPANIES OUT THERE THAT MAYBE READ THIS STUFF ON AMAZON - iPODS CANNOT BE LEFT IN THE CAR DURING TIMES OF HIGH HEAT AND HAVE THEM NOT LOSE BATTERY LIFE - THESE OLD "BATTERY OPERATED" BOYS CAN (SOMEHOW). SURE ENOUGH AFTER A COUPLE OF HOT DAY'S I REACHED FOR THE iPODS AND GUESS WHAT? NO JUICE - I GRABBED MY YEAR UNUSED SPORTS RADIO (THIS ONE) AND GUESS WHAT? IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM...

This arm band is great. It holds the iPhone snugly, and the velcro is strong enough to secure it on your arm without it slipping down. My arms are really skinny so I added an extra piece of velcro on the end and it worked out well.

I bought these after a very satisfying purchase of Philips model HS500 so I'd have a 2nd set of one of the best headphones I've ever owned, with some improvements as implied by the next higher model number. Unfortunately the sound quality was not even close. These sound very average. Very much like most headphones that get included with a cd/mp3 player. Kind of tinny and totally lacking adequate sensitivity. In build there is a slight improvement. The pull relief system includes a reflective cloth cover over the cord, further strengthening a good idea. These got returned.

I bought this armband carrier for jogging with my Palm Treo 700. It was extremely difficult to get the phone inside the case. The size was much too small for the Palm so buttons & the touch screen were inadvertently pushed during the first 100 yards of my jog, causing the player to stop, skip or otherwise malfunction. Because the phone barely fit in the pouch, controls were not easy to access. Also, the cord jostled around too much so there was too much static & sound malfunctions as well. This arm band would probably work fine for a device that is solely for playing mp3's but certainly not truly universal for all mp3 playing phones & devices.

I bought this as a replacement for the speed trac model,which looks the same but has slightly different electronics.My son broke our old model.Our old model was very accurate,I had it tested against a very expensive ($600) hand held jugs gun. This model consistently reads 6-7 mph slower than actual speed.Avoid this product as it is inaccurate and definately not worth the money.

I've had this pack three years now and think it is the best designed computer laptop backpack ever. It has a water bottle compartment on the side, a carry handle on top, a waist band for when you're bicycling or hiking over uneven ground. It's been to Belize, Panama, Australia, and Alaska with me, not to mention to the college where I teach every day for the past three years. It has a great organizer pocket to hold flash drives, cords for laptop, remote mouse, remote data projector controller, palm pilot, cell phone, ipod, etc. I LOVE it! It makes it feel like you are not carrying anything. Even after five surgeries when I wasn't supposed to lift over 10 lbs, I could carry this with my 15.4 inch Dell and accessories inside with no problem.

This is exactly the type of product I was looking for when I bought my Nike+ Sport kit. With little ones running around, I was afraid that one of them would get ahold of some of the part and that would be the end of that. The kit has a hard shell to protect from all types of wear and tear, and the pockets keep everything in the right place. The only complaint about the kit itself is that the headphone spot at the back is a bit awkward. The spool for the cord is far too large, making is hard to wind the headphones.

The Nike Vapor headphones were exactly what I was looking for. I have very small ears and it is hard to find a comfortable sport phone. These fit the bill perfectly. The cord has a extension included, so that you can have a longer cord, but not have to be caught up in the cord while working out. The sound is decent for the price. I would recommend this product.

I have had this backpack since 2004 and am still using it every day.

I have used this backpack for traveling, as well as for carrying my computer around campus. It is big enough to hold a 17 inch laptop, with lots of other crap stuffed in there too. The zippers on this bag are surprisingly sturdy. One of the main track zippers finally failed after about 4 years, and the other one is on its way out now too. However, I've still yet to tear the fabric of the bag, even after years of heavy use.

This bag has accompanied me on many trips across the country as well as a 3 month field study in the jungles of Costa Rica.

I love this bag, and will probably get another one when the last zipper finally fails (hopefully I'll get another year out of it, which will make it 5 years old).

This backpack is HEAVY DUTY with a TON of space and pockets. I'm already losing stuff inside it there is so much space! It will withstand a lot of weight or just a lot of stuff. I am very pleased with this bag. The prices vary on it so just research the prices before you buy one.

I am very pleased with this backpack. It fits my 17" widescreen laptop with room to spare. It appears to be a very wellmade product although I have not had it long enough to give it a durability rating. The shoulder straps and back have ample padding. I have not decided if I like the rubber covered handle yet but I think it will be sufficient. The side elastic net pouches hold 16oz water bottles or similar containers nicely.

My own personal negative mark on this product would be the amount of different compartments. There are so many of them! There are so many different areas to stash things I have to search in several different places before I find what I am looking for. Oh, well. I am sure in time I will get used to all the little nooks and crannies of this lovely backpack. Oh yeah, while the laptop is not in the bag, and you have filled up all those front compartments, the bag becomes 'front heavy' and won't stand upright when leaned up against something. Not the end of the world though, I just turn the bag around and butt the front of the bag up against the wall and it sits upright rather obediently.

I really love that the overall appearance of this backpack does not scream out "Hey, there is a laptop in here, come and steal me!". I have never been comfortable housing my laptop in a bag labeled with a very bold name tag like 'Targus' or 'Case Logic'. The bag makes it very obvious that there is a computer or other electronic device in the bag. That calls the attention of would be thieves and who needs that? I travel with my laptop through major international airports several times a year. I like knowing that no one has any clue as to whether or not I am carring a bag of rocks or a $2,000 laptop in my backpack.

My only regret is that it took me so long to find this terrific bag. I bought two other bags before this for my 17" widescreen with little success. That's why I thought I must write a review about this terrific bag. The product descriptions usually don't help very much. Since you can't see it in person, the next best thing is reading a review from someone who has.

I know everyone has different experiences with different devices, so I can only share mine....I've owned this little gem for close to two years and had no problems. The buttons ARE a bit sensitive, but I can either lock the unit or move it to the other side of my body. Simple enough. The software seems easy enough for me to use. But most of all, I'd like to talk about durability. I have a lawn service and wear this while I'm mowing, etc. I use noise- cancelling earphones and the sound is AWESOME! But I've bumped the poor thing, had the display so covered with grass I couldn't read it, and it just keeps on working. For the low price, that's quite a value. I've added a 512 MB SD card so I have plenty of music loaded to avoid having to listen to "re-runs" throughout the day. And on a rechargeable NIMH battery, I get about 8 hours of cranked- up rock music. I can't say enough about this device. It's been a real ear and lifesaver!

So...my husband bought me one of these when I started a new gym routine heavy in cardio and could not STAND trying to focus on the TVs. I LOVED it! It was small and easy to use, although we don't have the fastest computer and the software update last year made it a little harder to add songs.

And then...a few weeks in...it just DIED! AHHHH!

So...I figured it was just a dud...I know it can happen...or maybe I had done something to it accidently...so we got back on Amazon and grabbed up another one. I loaded it up and we headed for the gym.

And then ...a few weeks later...it would stop the song every 5 seconds or so until I hit play. Over and over and over.

It breaks my heart because the sound quality was great, it had more memory than I needed for a good couple of hours at the gym, but it just would not behave!

Hope mine was just an exception...I do think I'll give Rio another try...but I'm going to have to grab another model...so sad...

The folks here who are warning you about RIO support are dead on - I had the same experience. When the product broke, we were left on our own. What do you say to your kid when their Christmas gift broke and the company that made it won't support it 4 months after they sold it to you? These folks DO NOT stand behind their product, beyond 90 days at least.

Check RIO's their web site for their warranty information - their warranties only go to 90 days from proof of purchase. I don't know about you, but when I lay out cash like this I expect more. Don't waste your money here. Get a product that won't break and, if it does, you'll have someone standing behind it.

You'll be thankful you did.

"They stay in, but not the best choice for runners" 2009-07-16

I was looking forward to a nice set of ear phones that would stay in my ear, fit great, not annoy me, and offer decent audio quality while I'm out running or working out.

The phones look great, pretty stylish, the audio quality is decent, however it fails on the whole "stay in my ear and not annoy me front".

Not sure why, but they fit perfectly in my left ear, but they wont stay in my right ear for no more than a minute at most causing constant interruptions.

I was trying these out while doing some plyometric training last saturday (jumping, going down on the floor, getting back up, kicking, etc) and the headphones did NOT fall off my ear (even though my ear was incredibly wet with sweat).

However, the actual ear piece that goes in your ear would NOT stay in on my right ear (the left stayed much longer, but it eventually fell out after a while).

This would not be such a bad thing, but the ear piece falls out way to fast.

I tried listening to my ipod at home with the phones and the same thing happened here, the right ear just falls out.

Maybe there is just a quality issue involved here, I'm not sure, but all in all these phones could be better. If the ear piece just stayed in for 10 minutes, they would of gotten 5 stars.

I don't think anyone would buy these phones just to listen to music, the goal is for them to stay in your ear during an active workout, and on that front these phones fail to measure up (not a complete failure, but I'm sure you can do better).

I use another brand of sport headphones that go around the back of your head, and they stay in (but hurt my ear like you wouldn't believe) which is why I was wanting this pair to work.

Maybe next time.

These earbuds are very light, portable and -- when properly inserted into my ears -- have good sound. For my ears, they are a touch too large, but still allow me to ensure that thy are snug by adjusting the earring (attached to the bud) that sits towards the front of the ear. I have used them for over two (unabridged) books and they have slipped out of position only once. I do not use them while doing athletic activities since when I wore the Coosh's while doing some household moving they were less stable than when I was at rest. The only other problem is that the wires get tangled easily.

In comparison to other, pricier buds, these are a buy! Good sound, easily carried, easy to insert and a great price!

I've had these a few weeks and they are perfect to wear while working out. The rubber pieces that surround the ear are flexible and comfortable. There is a clip on the cord that you can attach to clothing to keep the headphones more stable if you wish. My only issue (very minor) is that the actual ear buds don't fit perfectly in my ear (I am used to the more cone-shaped ear buds), but they are good enough. I recommend this product.

Wow, these really do fit. Like many other reviewers, I have tried a bunch, and all either would not stay in while running or hurt my ears. These seem to do the trick, though. Very comfortable. I thought the soft earloops would be to soft to do anything, but not so - the ear pieces stay right in place and I don't even feel the silicone loops behind my ears. They do seem a bit fragile, esp. where they attach to the ear bud, so we'll see how it holds up, but so far I am very pleased. Sound quality is fine, clear and sharp. Definetly would recommend these.

"Good enough to buy twice..." 2009-09-02

I bought the white plastic version of these head phones the first go around. Then I forgot to take them out of my pocket when I washed my pants.. the dryer fried them.

I am in the Air Force and I run/work out a lot, and these little devils are great. There is this piston on the top of the ear bud that goes up and down, and then there is this kind of a curved latch that you push down behind your ear and it locks them in place. The plastic ones worked so well, that I decided to get ANOTHER pair. Then I found these fellars. Didn't even know they made ones out of metal.

The weight on these things is nice. They stay put. And they came with some sponge over the speakers which is nice for now even though I know it will eventually rip off. There is also this handy little rubber thing that you wrap the cord around to keep it from getting tangled. I thought it was dumb at first and then I was like, "Holy Hell! This is actually super useful!" And now I use it all the time.

The sound is good enough. Not studio quality and the base doesn't vibrate your head, but they sound every bit as good as the headphones that come with an iPod. That's really about all.

Annnnnnddddddd, I'm done.

"Decent - stay in place" 2009-07-12

I've had these for about 6 months, and am on my second pair after destroying the first at the bottom of my gym bag (its on me - nothing would have survived). I use them for distance running and am very happy with them.

Once you get these fit to your ears, they stay put. The sound is decent, and the shape blocks a reasonable amount of the ambient sound.

That said, there is a learning curve to getting them to fit correctly. There are some curious design choices that make getting the fit tricky. For a reason I can't figure out, the headphone cables emerge from the earbuds pointing forward, which makes tucking the cables away a little trickier than it should be. Also surprising is there isn't enough friction in the fitting mechanism to keep it put between wearings, meaning every time you have to work on getting them on your ears.

I found that routing the cable through my shirt keeps them put, and now that I know how to work them, they are staple of my running gear. I'd buy them again.

One other note - for [...], a little card saying "hey, here is how we think you should get these to fit to your ears" is something i would have expected in the box. Apparently Nike and Phillips don't agree with me!

Purchased from Target for a little less than $50. I have tried almost all the headphones for working out and running for over the ear but none seemed to fit my small ears until now. These were great. Working out and running, they never fell out. Having the cord on the outside of my shirt, and using a machine that I had to make contact with the pad, it pulled the cord apart. I returned them to Target and got another pair. I had to return two more sets because the left speaker busted. Now that my return is out of date, my fourth pair busted on the left side again. There will NOT be a fifth pair.

I sold audio products for a while, and my experience is that everyone has a different opinion about what excellent sound means. For folks like me, who like jazz and classical, the best sound is very clear, not too much bass. A lot of people, especially the younguns, like that thumpin' bass and nothing that doesn't kick the windows out will do.

With my iPod, the Skylon gives pretty clear, sharp sound. But it probably won't play Jay-Z the way some people would like it. Here's the thing, though -- when I exercise, there tends to be background noise (traffic, other exercisers, etc.) and in that situation you aren't going to get booming bass without blasting the sound. These phones are clear, and will make it easy to hear speaking voices, as well as singers, against ambient sound. That's what a pair of sports earphones should do, in my opinion.

So I like them.

I bought these headphones to go with my brand new ipod nano, and i must say I was quite disappointed. I bought the pair as they were the best looking (and highest priced) Nike brand headphones. I was let down by how insufficient the bass was on these. My cell phone speaker has better bass! I was excited to run with these until I heard the lackluster sound quality. I don't think the weight of these headphones would've made it too comfortable... these puppies are HEAVY. On top of that, the shape of the actual buds didn't create a good enough seal to drown out any of the surrounding noise even at a sufficient volume. Forget about losing yourself in your workout at the gym with these on. To summarize, I liked how these look and that's about it. No bass and too heavy. Avoid and go with another pair.

I spent a lot of time comparing various messenger-style bags and finally settled on this one. I'm extremely happy with it. Lightweight, comfortable and sporty. Big plus is it's roomy enough for either our Fuji 17 inch or Sony 17 inch laptop plus some paperwork, etc. Hard to find cool, colorful and fresh looking (read not boring business black) styling in laptop bags in general and even harder for 17 inch. I have been using Case Logic products for many years and have never been disappointed with quality (proper cushioning, good quality zippers, sewn well with good materials). Well known competitor bag was double the cost and not in our budget range.

I bought this bag in May. By August the zipper for the separate laptop compartment had broken. Since I use this bag for business travel to carry my laptop, files, and accessories, this makes it useless for its intended purpose. The good news is that Case Logic agreed to replace it, so they get customer service points. On the plus side, it has a lot of capacity and can be efficiently packed.

I needed an armband for by Transcend player to use at the gym because the player came with just a silicone cover and a neck strap (talk about skimping on accessories!). This armband fits the bill. Things I like about it are:

- easy to adjust armband with a stretchy strap that connects both sides to keep them in close proximity, making the Velcro easier to engage. It also adjusts large enough to fit my husbands 14" biceps.

- two stretchy storage pockets, one zippered and one with a Velcro closure. Either one easily holds my JVC ear buds while still in the travel case.

- central compartment easily holds my player while it is still in the silicone cover

- it has an opening on the bottom of the main compartment to fit headphone jacks for most players.

The one drawback, the top of the main compartment does not have a closure. It is just a slot to slip the player into. If the band was shaken while upside down the player could slip out. This issue can be overcome by leaving headphones with an L connector plugged into the player at all times. Personally, I haven't found it to be much of an inconvenience.

I bought the Sportline Armband from Wal-Mart (not knowing Amazon had it at the time of my impulse buying). This is GREAT for my 8GB Zen. My Zen is the size of a credit card and about 0.6 inches thick. I have my Zen inside of its silicone cover and then I slipped it snuggly inside of this Armband. The earphone hole lines up with the opening in the fabric. The USB hole doesn't line up with a hole, but I still fit mine in through the earphone hole and guide it to the USB connection...you can see it real good through the clear window.

The armband doesn't lay out flat like my other armband...it has an elastic joining piece so that when you put it on your arm it is secured as you pull the velcro together (no trying to pin it down with your arm while you tighten in order to not drop everything). It's so nice that I just keep my Zen in the armband. It also props up when it is not being worn, so I can watch the screen without holding the player. It has 2 pockets too...one zippered and one "hidden" velcro pocket. I put my headset in one and probably could put cash, key, I.D., etc. in each pocket too. The pockets are real roomy and everything is real stretchy and soft.

If I have to mention something negative...I noticed, when I was exercising at the gym, that a little moisture (from body heat) built up on each end of the Armband under the plastic window. This is after about 2 hours of straight exercise, though. It didn't damage my player...I just reached through the opening and wiped the moisture away. Not a big deal, and it doesn't get all over...just a little on the ends.

I like this product so much that I may buy another one for fear that they may stop making these for some odd reason...you know how that is when they have a good thing and then discontinue. Anyway, I hope my review helped you make a decision.

Anything that was outside of about 80 feet came through in crystal clear vivid color and clarity. It really made for up close and personal viewing of all the animals we saw. I have compared many binoculars before purchasing this pair and have no regrets what-so-ever. They are a great all-purpose binocular. The 7x magnification along with a larger 50mm aperture gives a very clear image, even indoors.
I regularly take them to hockey games and the wider field-of-view keeps the action in your sight.
The perma-focus keeps images sharp. Remember that they are set assuming you are looking through with at least almost 20/20 vision so you can not use them without corrective lenses.

I have two of these and am pleased with their performance.

While they don't have the reception range of Sony's SRF HM33, they are water resistant.

I only use these at home in conjunction with an FM transmitter for my XM radio.

I use these in the shower every morning.

After ruining one set, I figured out that after exposing the unit to water, you MUST wipe the battery and battery compartment dry.

If you don't, the battery terminals will rust. Sometimes reading instructions is necessary :).

The operating instructions do state that the battery compartment is not sealed like the rest of the unit and wiping it dry is required.

The Sony SRF-HM10 S2 Sports Street-Style FM Radio Walkman is a well designed product except in the most important feature/function - I live in the San Francisco Metropolitan Bay Area where the FM radio spectrum is filled with stations, most of which are high powered. Even my worn out 20 year old walkman radio doesn't have any difficulty providing clear, static free programming from most of the stations (including the weak local college stations). The Sony SRF-HM10 S2 headphone radio was not able to receive most of the Bay Area stations at all (all static) and the few strongest stations were filled with static. This poor performance was determined under ideal conditions: radio sensitivity was set to 'distant', testing done outside and away from houses, trees, etc., new battery, clear weather and head oriented for best reception. Any variation from these ideal conditions degraded these strong stations with even more static. While I don't expect perfect reception from such a small portable radio, this performance was well below unacceptable.

I bought this specifically to take to the San Jose Sharks hockey games, where we like to listen to the FM radio play-by-play as we watch, which is broadcast inside the building on a separate channel. Reception inside the arena is usually excellent. I own 4 different FM headset radios to take to the games, so we can accommodate everyone when the whole family goes. This one was the only one I've ever tried that could not be made to give acceptable results. I was amazed at how bad it was. I figured it must have weak batteries, but I always bring an extra set of brand new ones and they didn't help one bit.

The problem is simple - FM radio reception is terrible. It's worse than useless in many situations where my other three devices (all Sonys, all different, all significantly less expensive) work fine. Just incredibly bad. I tried it elsewhere -- in the car and at home, on stations that I normally get good reception, there was no joy from this model. On the rare occasions when the reception is good, the sound is quite good (making it all the more frustrating).

Ergonomics are also not great, it's really hard to adjust this while wearing it, and the general comfort and feel isn't good.

Buy anything else but this one, this model is a real clunker.

After reading the previous review I hesitated to purchase this radio. I liked how compact it was and the digital tuning but was worried about reception. The main radio station I listen to is nearby with a strong signal so I gambled and bought this radio. I am very happy with it and reception is great everywhere I've used it. I agree with the previous reviewer that reception might be a conern if it is already marginal with your current radio. I was also worried that it might not stay secured on my head but it works very well and doesn't bother me at all while running. I have owned nearly every Sony Walkman radio and have quite a collection - this one will definately see a lot of use.

I bought the Sony Underwater Sport Pack to use with my Sony HDR-XR500 because I wanted to bring the camera to the beach. The HDR-XR500 is a very sensitive camera and you do not want to expose this camera to the fine sand at the beach. The fine sand will get into the inner workings of the camera and it will cause problems. So, by putting the camera in a water-proof enclosure before I go to the beach, I bypass this problem. But the Underwater Sport Pack enclosure is not the easiest thing to use. Because it utilizes a mirror to reflect the viewfinder's image, it is difficult to use in bright sunlight. But if you wear polarizing sunglasses, it makes it a little easier to see the viewfinder in the mirror. I wish there was a way for Sony to have incorporated a water-proof remote control for the underwater package. The controls on the exterior of the enclosure are OK, but it is hard to operate the zoom as smoothly as I could with the remote control I have on the tripod.

As an active runner/biker I had problems in the past finding an armband that would fit my arm and not slip during the workout. The armband is comfortable, does not scratch and stays put. It is easy to change songs and volume. My only problem is the headphones, I had trouble getting them to stay in my ear. However I am picky about earbuds and have my own so it is a minor issue. Great product for a great price!

Bought new and used it about 5 times before it fried on me. Emailed Freestyle several times and got no response. Total rip off.......

The first one fizzled out after just a couple swims. The company replaced it within the warranty period. The second one died after 3 swim sessions.

The controls are confusing, the screen too small to read without a magnifying glass.

I was thrilled when I received my 1st Free Style Audio for Christmas 2007. That one was used twice in March 2008, and around 6 times early summer 2008 when it just wouldn't charge anymore. Even though it was out of warranty company offered to replace free of charge if I returned it since I only used it a few times. Good thing I sent UPS because Free Style Audio lost it, and only replaced it after I gave them the UPS tracking number to prove it was received by someone at FSA. Finally got replacement (new design) after weeks, and only got to use a few times before we closed our pool. Used 2nd unit a few times in March 2009 on vacation, this one started acting flakey at end of vacation difficult to turn on/off. Was able to use unit 2 a couple more times when we opened our pool in May 2008 before it failed completely taking on water. FSA said unit was out of warranty, but offered a new one for half price ($45+SH). Silly me I took the bait. Unit 3 arrived late June & I used it & it worked right about 5 or 6 times then started acting funny, I struggled with it thru July using it about 6 more times before I returned it for a replacement. Unit 4 worked once & then filled w/water, returned this one and received unit 5 which I charged one day, then when I went to load music the next day computer didn't recognize - this one never saw the water ! Finally I gave up and returned it for a refund.

In summary spent over $160 in purchases (including gift price & original Ship & Handling) plus $20 sending units back and got about 2 dozen good swimming laps w/tunes sessions. So if you want to spend $7.50 per use by all means go for it, otherwise save your money. FSA has agreed to refund my last purchase ($45), but will not refund any of my shipping charges so I guess that reduces the per use price down to $4.79 - still too much for me.

Considering it is a waterproof device, you have to accept some limitations. I use it for paddleboarding, so I don't submerge the device, nor do I wear the earplugs underwater. I have had it underwater (going thru a wave)for a few seconds. It continues to work. Ear plugs are fine. Sound is ok. Controls can be difficult, but that is because it's water tight, so what can you do. I have not had any trouble with it. It serves it's purpose.
